Parts made of high-manganese steel are produced from a newly developed material called X5. This material is based on conventional manganese-alloyed high-carbon steel. By changing the additional alloying elements, the work hardening and ductility of the manganese hard steel are maintained. Significantly longer service lives have been achieved in tests in various areas of application.
